The Arg-e Bam is the largest adobe building in the world, it is located in Bam and is listed by UNESCO as part of the World Heritage Site “Bam and its Cultural Landscape”. On 2003, 80 percent of the Citadel completely been destroyed by an earthquake, along with much of the rest of Bam and its environs. After 14 years passed from that day, this building is rising again and soon, it will regain its original glory.

در چهاردهمین اجلاس کمیته میراث جهانی یونسکو در بوگوتا پایتخت کلمبیا، پرونده مهارت‌های سنتی ساختن و نواختن دوتار که از سوی ایران ارائه شده بود، با کسب نظر موافق اعضای این کمیته، در فهرست یونسکو ثبت جهانی شد.

دوتار ایرانی یکی از مهم‌ترین و کهن ترین ابزارهای موسیقی ایرانی است که طی قرن ها در گستره پهناوری از ایران نواخته می شده و هم اکنون نیز از جمله سازهای موسیقایی معاصر ایران است

ایران پیش از این، پرونده ردیف موسیقی‌های ایرانی، موسیقی بخشی‌های خراسان و هنر ساختن و نواختن کمانچه را در حوزه موسیقی، در فهرست میراث ناملموس جهانی ثبت کرده بود.

حضور در نشست توسعه گردشگری ایران و چین, که هفت آذر ماه نود و هشت در هتل مارکوپولو پکن برگزار شد.
در این نشست که با حضور دکتر مونسان وزیر میراث‌فرهنگی، گردشگری و صنایع‌دستی و ولی تیموری معاون گردشگری کشور و نمایندگان بیش از ۱۰۰ شرکت حوزه گردشگری و تبلیغات دو کشور ایران و چین برگزار شد، شرکت کنندگان راه های توسعه گردشگری میان دو کشور را بررسی کردند.
