The VENUE is an old historic property under restoration to become an actual venue as well as base for the Venue-Group and community - dedicated to the restoration and inovation of 'hardware and software' so to speak - as in historical buildings and that which brings them alive - as in the restoration of cultural heritage - as well as vocational development and the unlocking of creativity and care for our culture and community and world ...

We are made up of what used to be the CHRA-Projects office and community that has been dedicated to women centered activities in Kurdistan since the 1990s - and restoration-related professionals and volunteers - who believe that in this tumultuous world and time of deadlocks and inequality and conflict and migration - we can seek local solutions for global problems - and build alternatives - not the least of which being community and peace - literally brick by brick and stone by stone and relationship by relationship and song by song and coffee by coffee ...
