المركز العراقي للفيلم المستقل هو هيئة فيلمية عراقية تهدف إلى رفع مستوى الثقافة السينمائية العراقية في مرحلة المخاض الصعب الذي يمر به العراق، ومن ثم التأسيس الفعال لسينما ما بعد الأزمة. يهدف المركز إلى ترسيخ المفاهيم الحديثة في عملية الصناعة الفيلمية المعاصرة من أساليب الإنتاج والتمويل, الدعم الثقافي والسينمائي، و بكل أشكاله. كذلك العمل على مفصل التوزيع السينمائي المدروس وفق الأسس العالمية الحديثة،
إضافة إلى رد الاعتبار إلى شكل المطبوع السينمائي لما له من تأثير في نشر الثقافة السينمائية.
المركز العراقي للفيلم المستقل هو مسلك لكل السينمائيين العراقيين من صناع فيلم ونقاده، لتفعيل دورهم في رسم ملامح جديدة ومعاصرة للفيلم العراقي الحديث. The Iraqi Independent Film Center (IIFC) is an Iraqi film institution dedicated to elevating cinematic culture in Iraq, particularly during this challenging transitional period. The center aims to establish modern principles in the filmmaking process, including innovative approaches to production, financing, and cultural and cinematic support in all its forms. Additionally, the center focuses on strategic film distribution based on international standards, ensuring that Iraqi films reach wider audiences both locally and globally. Furthermore, it seeks to restore the significance of cinematic publications, recognizing their essential role in fostering film culture and discourse. Beyond its role as a hub for filmmakers and critics, the IIFC strongly emphasizes cinematic education as a cornerstone for developing Iraq’s emerging film industry. Through specialized workshops, mentorship programs, and collaborations with international film institutions, the center provides aspiring filmmakers with the knowledge and tools needed to create compelling, socially relevant, and technically proficient films. The Iraqi Independent Film Center serves as a vital platform for Iraqi filmmakers, critics, and industry professionals to redefine and reimagine the identity of contemporary Iraqi cinema.
