Origami Angel (2026 version) - Watercolour

I recently made diagrams for this model and then decided to play with colours a little bit. Not so easy! I did use AI for the final splotchy look, though. If you'd like to fold this Origami Angel, hopefully, the diagrams will be published in a couple of months.

Won Seon Seo Origami Horse.

Fellow origamists will empathise with this. Sometimes a sheet of paper just calls out to be folded. This one caught my eye when I was in the market the other day and passed a shop where they make boxes for wedding presents. The fellow had precut pieces that he was gluing to cardboard. I had to know. I entered. I asked. My heart broke. He said he was just a worker and couldn’t help me with the source. Then I oozed my schoolboy charm supplemented with the universal key that open all doors, a crisp currency note. I got it. A single sheet donated magnanimously by the fellow who went back to gluing, thinking about the silliness of people who would pay money for a worthless piece of paper. Little did he know, eh!

Anyway, this is approx. 125gsm paper, colored blue-silver. The largest square I could get 10” (25cm). Looks fancy, not so good to fold, sadly. The colours kept peeling off at creases. I coaxed the paper with sweet words of cooperation and this is the result.

This Horse is a very intriguing design by the great master, Redpaper. It's based on a 10x10 grid. I would have loved to render the legs better. Maybe some other time with some other paper. For now, this is the story of a horse folded from wedding paper!

Origami Bird by Himanshu Agrawal.
2025. Folded from 15cm kami.

I call this little bird 'SillyBeak', and will teach how to fold it at Origami Groep Eindhoven's online event on December 21, 2025. Further details about registration will be released soon by

I cherish the mini experiences I encounter while traveling. This bird was designed on a recent trip and the only draft was gifted. Why? Because artists tend to be emotional, I guess. So, the lovely young woman who received this, instantly evoked a deep feeling within me. If I had a daughter, she would be exactly like her. I spoke with her only for a couple of minutes, but the spark was instant. I affectionately call her Raf.

Yet another experience was yesterday. Another young person, doing her BA (Hons.) in English Literature. She is interning as a caregiver at a hospital. Telling ya, I meet a lot of people because of Origami and VO but have never met anyone with her charm and kindness ever. Such a brilliant mind, a caring heart with an ever-smiling face.

So, I was fortunate to meet 2 special people in the past month and would like to dedicate this little bird to them.

Happy folding! I will see you at the event on December 21st!
