નરી અફવા છે કે શણગારવામાં કામ આવે છે
અરીસો જાતને ધિક્કારવામાં કામ આવે છે

મરણ લગ બાપ ઘર માટે ઘસાવાનું નહીં છોડે
તૂટે પ્હેરણ તો પોતું મારવામાં કામ આવે છે.

રડું છું તો કરે છે આંસુ કેરોસિન જેવું કામ,
હવે કંઈ ક્યાં હૃદયને ઠારવામાં કામ આવે છે

ખુશી છે કે પડ્યાં છે જિંદગીમાં ગાબડાંઓ બહુ
ઘણા ખાડા ઘણું ભંડારવામાં કામ આવે છે

ગયું દરરોજ બાળક મંદિરે ને એટલું શીખ્યું,
કે ઈશ્વર આરતી ઉતારવામાં કામ આવે છે.
