The story of Harshad Mehta(Scam 1992) reminded me of Pablo Escobar(Narcos) in most of the places.
Often in 3rd world countries, People abiding by the rules only travel so much in an unfair world where everything seem to be governed by power, money etc. Poor people beaten by an inefficient system, if they are smart and intelligent, think that everything is okay, as all they known is a system that doesn't work at all and if it does, it works for money and power.
Often what they miss to understand is that system is corrupt, not weak. If it wants you to kneel desperately, it will. By the way, capitalism doesn't like newer player in the team 11. This challenges their status quo.
This brings me back to the question. What makes a Harshad Mehta? System, Choices or being on the wrong side at the wrong time? Similar to what fincher explored in Mindhunter.
