आज़ाद भारत के पहले प्रधानमंत्री जहां नेहरूजी जैसे विलायत से पढ़े और सीखे हुए इंसान रहे, लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जी ने एक नए भारत के आगमन का संकेत दिया जहां एक साधारण किसान पृष्ठभूमि से नाता रखता इंसान भी इस बड़े दायित्व वाले पद का सफलतापूर्वक निर्वहन कर सकता है। अपनी सीधी साधी जीवन शैली के लिए प्रसिद्ध शास्त्री जी ने भले ही एक छोटे काल के लिए भारत की प्रधानमंत्री पद के रूप में सेवा की पर उसमें भारत - पाकिस्तान युद्ध और जय जवान जय किसान वाला काल भी सम्मिलित था जिसमें शास्त्री जी के कदम आज भी आजाद भारत के इतिहास में उल्लेखनीय है। उनके पुत्र बताते हैं कि जब उन्होंने देश भर से हफ्ते में एक दिन उपवास रखने का अनुरोध किया तब उन्होंने उसके पहले ये परीक्षण खुद के घर में करके देखा। ऐसे पहले प्रधानमंत्री जिन्होंने ये जानने के बाद की उनके खर्च कम हैं, खुद की ही तनख्वाह कम करवा दी। ऐसे युग नेता आज के इतिहास काल खंड में होते तो असंभव से प्रतीत होते हैं। ताशकंद में भारत - पाकिस्तान युद्ध समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए और उसी समय हमारे बीच से जुदा हो गए। आजाद भारत के इतिहास में ऐसे गिनती के व्यक्तित्व हैं, जिन्हें ऐसे देश की सेवा करते करते प्राण सिधारने का मौका मिला है और निश्चित ही शास्त्री जी उसकी शाश्वत मिसाल हैं। आज उन जैसे नेताओं की हमें आवश्यकता और झांकने की, कि जिस सीढ़ी पर हम आन खड़े हुए हैं उसे किन व्यक्तित्वों के खून - पसीने ने पहुंचाया है।

It is said that after the Bible it is Gandhiji on whom the maximum number of books are written. The journey of M. K. Gandhi to Mahatma Gandhi will always find a place in the hearts of the world for infinite centuries. The man who turned himself the symbol of modern India - a simple Indian, nationalist Indian, fierce and bold Indian. The contributions of his smart moves against British rule can now be ignored but formulas of protest and satyagraha developed by him always will be relevant. He made the world learn that what can seem to others as your weakness, if well organised can turn into your strength. He proved himself to be a personality that has no difference from what is in his thoughts and what is in his actions. The truth was always there but how it wins, he is the first man in the world's history who has taught this to the entire world. The burden of critics and ignorance can be a bit pathetic but the achievement we have now can't be forgotten that who was Gandhi and how he experimented with 'Truth'.

यूं इतिहास के पन्नों में झांका जाए तो हो सकता है कि हमें प्रतीत हो कि ये पांच सितंबर को मनाया जाने वाला शिक्षक दिवस, आज़ाद भारत के प्रथम उपराष्ट्रपति तथा द्वितीय राष्ट्रपति स्वर्गीय श्री सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन के जन्म के पहले तो नहीं ही मनाया जाता होगा। पर अगर थोड़ा सा ज्ञान चक्षुओं पर ज़ोर डालें तो शायद ये ज्ञात हो कि भारत की ये भूमि हज़ारों वर्षों से गुरु शिष्य परंपरा को कायम किए है। भारत का चाहे सनातन धर्म हो जिसमें "द्विज" नामक दो जन्मों की व्याख्या है, जिसमें किसी भी मनुष्य का जन्म दो बार होता है, एक बार उसकी मां के गर्भ से और दूसरी बार उसके गुरु द्वारा जो उसे ज्ञान देकर दूसरे जन्म में प्रवेश दिलाता है, दूसरा जन्म जिसमें वो मनुष्य अपने जीवन की सूझ बूझ, उथल पुथल से आगे बढ़कर एक बुद्धिजीवी के रूप में निखर के आता है। बाकी धर्मो में देखा जाए तो, इस्लाम में सूफी परंपरा, धर्म में तीर्थंकर हैं, बौद्ध धर्म के मठ और वहीं इसकी पराकाष्ठा सिख समुदाय में देखी जा सकती है जहां एक मनुष्य को उसके पूरे जीवन में एक शिष्य के तौर पर ज्ञानार्जन करना होता है।
इन सब तथ्यों से ये तो सारगर्भित होता है कि भारत जो हमेशा से ही सारे समुदायों की कर्मभूमि रहा है, वहां ये शिक्षक दिवस का मूल सिद्धांत नया तो नहीं है। आज इस भयावह स्थिति में जहां मनुष्य को स्वयं और उसके जीवन को जानने की आवश्यकता है, निश्चित ही मार्गदर्शकों की आवश्यकता है और वो बिना गुरु - शिष्य परंपरा के संभव नहीं। अपने आस पास की घटनाओं से सीखें और जीवन में हमेशा आगे बढ़ते रहें, इन्हीं शुभकामनाओं के साथ आगाज़ परिवार की ओर से आप सभी को शिक्षक दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं!

"मैं जानता हूं कि ग़ज़ल पढ़ने के लिए, सुनने के लिए, सुनाने के लिए, समझने के लिए, ग़ज़ल समझाने के लिए आदमी को थोड़ा सा दीवाना, थोड़ा सा पागल, थोड़ा सा आशिक, थोड़ा सा उत्साही, थोड़ा सा दीवाना और थोड़ा बहुत कैरैक्टरलेस भी होना चाहिए!"
ये लफ्ज़ जितने लज़ीज़ सुनाई पड़ते हैं, उतनी ही महान शख्शियत की बोली है, जिन्होंने कई मशहूर शायरों को आसान उर्दू भाषा में शायरी पढ़ना, सुनना और कहना सिखाया। राहत कुरैशी जो इंदौर में पैदा होने के कारण अपने दूसरे उपनाम 'इंदौरी' से प्रसिद्ध हैं का आज इस विपदा भरी घड़ी में निधन हो गया। अपनी शायरी में अक्सर कहा करते थे कि इसी की वजह से राहत इंदौरी या तो मशहूर या तो बदनाम है। मशहूर उर्दू शायर जो अपनी ग़ज़लों से भारत की पीढ़ी को सिखा गए कि खुशमिजाजी और अक्खड़पन दोनों मोहब्बत के आइने से परे नहीं हैं, आज गुजरते वक्त जाने कितनी शायरियां मुकम्मल कर गए। आज घर घर का नौजवान अपनी जवानी के जज्बे के तले कितनी ही शायरियां पढ़ता होगा और कितने ही सारे ख्यालातों में राहत इंदौरी जी के लफ्ज़ आज भी गूंजते होंगे। बेशक इस दुनिया से विदा लेते वक्त भी वो खुश हुए हों और वो बोले हों , "लगेगी आग तो आएंगे कई ज़दमे, यहां पे सिर्फ हमारा मकान थोड़ी है ...!" आज वो नहीं हैं तो हमारी पीढ़ी ने न जाने कितनी ही ग़ज़लें खो दी, पर जितना लिख के गए इंदोरीजी आज भी हर नौजवान के ख्यालों में ज़िंदा है और हमेशा रहेगा जब तक उर्दू है, वतन हैं और मोहब्बत है।

जो तेज़ धूप में हो छाँव की तरह,
जो सौंधी मिंट्टी का इत्र सुगम हो
जो हम उनके प्रकाश मात्र,
वह समूचे सूर्य की तरह...

सच है
माँगी हुई पूरी हर मन्नत होती है
पिता के चरणों मे जन्नत होती है

Wishing you all a very Happy World Environment Day!
"Save nature! SAVE Environment!" These slogans have been around us for a long time ; for a lot of us, actually for all our lives.
But have you ever thought who really are we to save it?
The notions of human, being the Protector of the world have seemingly collapsed during this epidemic. Moreover nature seems to be pretty happy with her so-called "saviours" locked inside.

Can't we see the loophole?

Actually, thinking ourselves as the saviour is part of the problem.
We need to stop assuming that we humans own this world (because we don't) and start accepting ourselves as merely a part of it (because that is what we are).

One thing the epidemic has benefitted is with giving time for nature to heal. Now that the lockdown is being lifted,
can we atleast try to introspect our lifestyles and make changes?
Can we use a bit of our brains rather than running an incessant rat race of blind development?

It's high time. Stop acting like masters! Work WITH nature, not necessarily FOR nature. Understand that the nature doesn't need our saving. 𝗜𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱.
