Shri Pravin Tulpule, “The Happy Uncle” visiting from Mumbai has been invited to Mindgym coming Saturday especially for our kids!!🤡

From a Naval veteran to Happy Uncle , Pravin found his calling in making terminally ill children happy and has been using theatre, magic and laughter to bring happiness in the lives of children of all ages 😊

Happy uncle has had a passion for magic and entertainment all his life. While in Navy he was a DUTY UNCLE Naval Officer during parties, taking care of the kids and entertaining them, and during one of these performances, something stirred him.

A family friend had called Pravin to entertain a bunch of children, when he realized that he was expected to entertain a bunch of children, about 30-35 children.
Most of them cancer patients, serious cancer patients, terminally ill patients, bald, wearing caps, somebody even on a drip. He was not too sure how he could entertain them. But he performed a CLOWING GIG to the claps of thunderous claps.

And he realized this it was his calling. He left the white uniform away and get into Medical clowning, an unheard journey & unheard career.
It was a very, very difficult decision to take, convincing his commanding officer, his seniors, family and friends. At times, he ended up spending money from his pocket to make sure that children get their bread & butter. He did corporate shows and events, so that there’s nobody cribbing that Pravin kept them hungry and he transformed into a clown.

The children need happiness!
The parents need happiness!
The helpless & frustrated doctors need happiness! We all need happiness. My friends out there, need happiness.
We all need happiness because without happiness, nothing works. ♥️

AND IT’S A WRAP!!!

Bookclub Sundays year 25-25 has wound up for a summer break of 2 months hosting an inspiring guest for the last session.

Prasham Mehta, a young g man with a Masters in Sports management from University of Liverpool told us all about his journey from National level Sports to Bachelors in Engineering and eventually following his passion in sports with his Master degree!!

Children had many questions and shared their own aspirations with us as we also did a rewind into our past sessions and reminisced friends and funny anecdotes of our time together through the year!!!

Our children always surprise us with the amount they know and our keen to talk and share about! And that is exactly happens in our last few sessions about “animals as vehicles of gods” and “animals that were used in wars in 20th century”!
Both the books were recently purchased by us at Bookaroo children book festival and we had readings from the same on two consecutive Sundays!
Unusual and exciting stories that fascinate and also make us sad…
Kids just listened in awe and bewilderment at ancient myths and the stories “real” war heroes 🙏☺️
