first market, done! ✨ ~ A little chaotic initially, but watching it come together into something I was actually proud of made it worth every frantic moment. It was so special to have my work seen in person. People stopped, looked, asked questions, and to hear how they resonated with some of the pieces, meant so much! Already thinking about the next one, whenever that may be :)

composer hours // It’s some of the small moments in life that leave the deepest echoes in creation.

Been sharing a ton of art lately but music is still happening behind the scenes. I’m in the listening phase, gathering ideas, finding old favourites and remembering the things that made me love music. TBH i fell out of love with composing for a bit, it happens, iykyk so I turned to art and found new passions there. Around this time last year, I was working on my concept album: PHASES. That ended up becoming segmented into the Piano Iterations and now I’m just waiting for the right moment to get back to it. The next phase of work on this album is going to be SO fun: orchestratioooon ayeeee I LOOVE this part, string swells, lush harmonies, this is the stuff where I’m truly in my element. I can’t wait to dive into it :))

LiTTLE SKETCH — a close up Got myself a matcha & a muffin. Something about this space just made my day and lightened my moodiness. I only had a quick moment to distractedly sketch before scurrying away to an event but what a peaceful morning it was!

This one is up on the shop already! And if you’d like to see more like this, come to the Dundas Handmade Market on Saturday April 25th — 137 Melville St., St. James Church, Hamilton, ON, 10AM to 3:30PM. See ya there :D

On a separate note.. I’ve been thinking… I’d sooo love to start a little print club featuring Toronto spots of the places I’ve been or wish to go. Even if it’s small in the beginning, I think it’d be such a fun way to appreciate the beauty of our city and share that joy together . ݁₊ ⊹

so I finally did it.

3 of my ‘Little Sketches’ are now up as prints! Printed on 170gsm matte paper, FSC-certified, shipped flat. The finish is smooth and non-reflective, which suits the work perfectly to be framed as you wish!

Palace Sketches — another attempt at sketching without a pencil layer reference and I’m actually so happy with how it turned out. Seriously, patience is key and I surprise myself every time I allow myself to go slow. I’ve got to work on my proportions still but I think I’ve come along way. I saw an artist mark dots on their page to help with that, so I tried that approach and it did help a lot! Also.. this one made me learn to love drawing plants..? A few weeks ago, I completely thought otherwise but now that I understand the process a bit better, I quite like it!
