Thank you all for making Ukhrul world music day event a success. First of all, we would like to thank all the ARTISTES (you know who you are) for taking your time out to be a part of this event. We made it possible by working together, sharing the same idea that music can make people come together. We can't thank you enough.
It would have been impossible to host this event without the help and contributions of generous donors and sponsors.

We would also like to say a big THANK YOU to all the people of UKHRUL who responded to our invitation and came out to support and enjoy the world music day celebration, you guys were awesome.
This event, like any other event didn't go without ups and downs. With that also comes criticism. We love a good constructive criticism and that is how we grow better as an organisation.
Mistakes were made,lessons were learned.
We all know that Ukhrul doesn't have a single digital mixer or proper/genuine sounds and lights system of that standard...but thankful to our president Hosanna for giving out his sound system free of cost..and to our engineers from Kazokza studio for being able to handle 18 artists in a day event, i.e.regardless both amateur and professionals which is very challenging.the venue itself was a problem for sound. Any artists would agree who have performed at TOWN HALL.
The event was a zero budget and non profitable, FREE ENTRY Event. Thanks to the few sponsors and well wishers who supported and donated after the lay out plan was activated. With due gratitude to them, we don't get enough to come up with a production and event the size of SHIROCK or any other hugely funded shows. We have no funding programs as of now. Its done purely out of passion and from our own pockets. UMO's mission was to light up the spirit of the people of Ukhrul on this occasion with whatever we could like a normal musical concert without formalities.
As a young organisation, there were limitations to providing the best production for the event and would probably like to upgrade in the coming years.
For now we are grateful that people were focused on the MUSIC.
Our aim for the event was to bring all the diverse Tangkhul musicians together and we are glad and grateful everyone responded positively. Despite our invites to everyone , some could not make it for their own personal reasons. We hope to include more artistes in the next edition.
On the brighter side, we are thankful to God for making this event happen without any major issues. Our month long efforts did not go to waste, despite our shortcomings, we are proud we made this happen with all your helps.we took everything into consideration while chalking out the plan for the event. Considering the fact that this is UMO'S only second event, everyone will agree that it was a grand success. Everything happened exactly as planned.
We are also grateful that people are starting to accept that music can be enjoyed without drugs and alcohol at any time of the day.
We have a long way to go but we're on the right track.
We respect the fact that people are responding positively to the idea of doing away with VIP CULTURE and we are happy that the VIPs are also supporting that idea. We as a music organisation hopes to remain solely for MUSIC and nothing else.
Finally, we would like to appeal to every music lovers to understand that we are musicians like you are a teacher, a doctor or any other profession. Musicians are one of the most misunderstood profession because of the way it has been viewed mostly because of the western musicians. Music should be free in a way that it frees us from problems not the other way. We are like any professionals, we do and try no less than you. We feed ourselves and our families by making music like you. We request you to respect us and our work and support and buy our music like we do to other professionals. Your support is the need of the hour.
Looking forward to your positive inputs in the near future.
Once again UMO thanks you all. See you in the next edition. PEACE.
