Endangered Craft Workshop – Faagania 5 Feb 2026 – The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), Udaipur Chapter, successfully organized a Tie & Dye Workshop on 5 February 2026 at Seedling Modern Public School, Udaipur, as part of its initiative to promote awareness about endangered Indian art and craft traditions among school students.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Gaurav Singhvi, Convenor, INTACH Udaipur Region. A total of 13 reputed schools from Udaipur participated in the programme, with five students from each school, making it a meaningful inter-school heritage engagement.
The technical and creative sessions were led by Ms. Annu Jain, Faculty, Department of Fashion Technology, Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur. Students were introduced to traditional tie-and-dye techniques such as folding, twisting, dipping, and tying, enabling them to understand the artistic and cultural significance of indigenous textile practices. The hands-on activity encouraged creativity, experimentation, patience, and appreciation of traditional craftsmanship.
One of the major highlights of the workshop was a vibrant ramp walk on the “Fagunia” theme, presented by the Seedlites, which added cultural colour and festive spirit to the programme while showcasing the dyed creations.
During the event, outstanding Seedlites of the Heritage Club, Seedling Modern Public School, Udaipur, were recognized for their exemplary contribution and consistent involvement in heritage-related activities:
