TENSION GRIPS SHILLONG AS KSU BLACK FLAG BIKE RALLY TURNS CHAOTIC

Shillong | Tension gripped parts of Shillong on Wednesday as the KSU Black Flag Bike Rally moved through the city, with reports of stone-pelting, vehicle damage and alleged assaults in different areas.

Several people were reportedly beaten up during the unrest, while the extent of injuries and property damage is yet to be officially ascertained. Police are yet to confirm the complete details of the incidents.

The rally was organised by the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) to press the government to address its five-point charter of demands.

The situation remains closely watched as authorities assess the incidents and work to maintain peace and order across the city.

BREAKING NEWS | Hatsingimari Land Dispute

Court Orders Ex*****on of Land Decree; Administrative Team Deployed

The Office of the Assistant Settlement Officer, Mankachar Revenue Circle, has issued an official order directing the ex*****on of a civil court decree relating to a land dispute in Hatsingimari Revenue Village.

According to the order dated 03 August 2026, the ex*****on has been scheduled for 05 August 2026 at 9:30 AM. Revenue officials have been deputed to carry out the decree in accordance with the directions of the Civil Judge (Junior Division), Hatsingimari.

The order also instructs the presence of:

* Revenue officials and survey staff
* Police personnel for law and order
* Executive Magistrate
* APDCL officials
* Gaon Pradhan
* Both the decree holder and the judgment debtors

The administration has directed all concerned to remain present until the ex*****on process is completed peacefully and in accordance with the court’s order.
