Dune themed installation for Oracle - Fremen house.

This was an interesting one - we couldn’t use sand, so used fabric dyed with actual soil to give it the feel and folds of sand. The structure itself was built using discarded cardboard boxes and chicken wire mesh. We were also working on a tight deadline - this was put together in just 5 days!

We are thrilled to invite you to a unique mural making experience on 2 Aug at Bangalore Creative Circus! ✨

Bringing together the worlds of visual art and music, in this workshop we will transform an iconic photograph into a wall mural using upcycled cassette tapes. And that’s not all - this mural will be an interactive sound installation! (that’s all we can disclose for now!) 🫢

No art or music experience required. Come join us to explore the magic of creative collaboration, while working with upcycled materials to create an interactive artwork that will be displayed at Bangalore Creative Circus!

About your host -
Madhuri Umashankar is a self taught, multi-disciplinary artist based out of Bangalore. She works with a variety of materials including unconventional materials like coffee, wine, tea, 3D glasses, upcycled cassette tapes, eggshells, old newspapers, etc. She uses her art practice and regular workshops to inspire creativity in everyone, as well as drawing attention to themes of sustainability, mental health, and wellbeing.
