Do you know which food item is used as a binder in Traditional Tempera paint?
Think and comment before scrolling below the answer ⬇️
Answer : Egg Yolk
Tempera is a permanent, fast-drying painting medium consisting of pigments mixed with a water-soluble binder, usually a glutinous material such as egg yolk. Tempera paint that contains egg yolk is called egg tempera. The earliest known egg tempera artworks date back to prehistoric murals found in the Domus de Janas chamber tombs in Sardinia.
