RPF and Bajrang Dal Rescue Two Minor Girls at Ahmedabad Station: Two Men Arrested in Inter-State Kidnapping Case.

AHMEDABAD: The Railway Protection Force (RPF), along with Bajrang Dal members and the Jodhpur Police, rescued two minor girls aged 15 and 17 at Ahmedabad railway station and arrested two men on charges of kidnapping. The arrested accused have been identified as Aquib Ansari (24) and Syed Ibrahim (21).

According to investigators, the accused created fake Instagram accounts using Hindu names to befriend and trap the two minor Hindu girls from Jodhpur. After gaining their trust, the accused allegedly lured the minors, brought them to Jodhpur railway station, and boarded the Jodhpur - KSR Bengaluru Superfast Express with the intention of taking them to Bengaluru. During the initial probe, authorities recovered forged documents from the suspects' phones, including a fake e-Aadhaar card under an assumed Hindu name along with identity records of the minors.

Acting on an alert regarding the missing minors from Kudi Bhagtasni Police Station in Jodhpur, Bajrang Dal activists and RPF personnel launched an operation at Ahmedabad railway station. As the train pulled into the platform, Bajrang Dal members and RPF officers intercepted the train, searched the coaches, and secured one of the girls. One suspect attempted to jump from the train and dispose of his mobile phone to destroy digital evidence, but he was chased down and apprehended. Further tracking led to the arrest of the second suspect and the recovery of the other minor from Platform No.1.

Following their apprehension, the accused reportedly confessed that they ran an interstate trafficking operation targeting minor Hindu girls for ₹8 to 10 lakh each and had previously trafficked five Hindu girls. Both minor girls have been placed under protective custody, and the police have taken both accused into formal custody for detailed interrogation to bust the broader network.
