My Acrylic painting almost after a year.
This uncovered canvas board was lying around for a long time. Many times I arranged all the paints and brushes and then put it away. Started drawing and was stuck.
Finally figured let's just start, whats the worst can happend. This canvas will go waste. Afterall it's like writing in personal diary. It doesn't have to be literature.
I liked the way it has turned out. Muscle memory for using paint and brushes is still there.

The Silent Strength

The faceless goddess in this pieces symbolizes those countless divine women who stand beside the image of power and devine.
She is source of the strength, still tradition has placed her as shadow in mythology.
Her purity, her Shakti, is what makes Him divine. It is her power that protects him, fuels him, and makes him worthy of worship.

And yet, she seldom has temple of her own. She is rarely worshipped separately. Her existence is tied to him, even though she is complete on
her own.

It's not a water colours painting. Lines are heros here. The colours are just to compliment the composition.
I like to call it colour drawings and offcourse my line therapy.

In December I had gone to a friend's native place in Satara. They kept this place a surprise, just insisted that I should carry my sketching material.
We were mesmaried to see many such beautiful ruins filled with echos of the past....silent witnesses of history and changing times.
This was Mahuli near Satara. The capitol place of Rani Tarabai...Shivaji Maharaj's daughter in law.

Last year I had gone to Ghodbandar fort for sketching. While returning just happened to notice this 100 years old private Shivmandir in Ghodbandar villege.
There was a completely different vibe to this place.
