పొట్టి శ్రీరాములు గారి విగ్రహం - అమరావతి.

అమరావతి ప్రాంతంలో ప్రతిష్టించబోతున్న
అమరజీవి పొట్టి శ్రీరాములు గారి
58 అడుగుల కాంస్య విగ్రహం తయారీ వీడియో చూశాను.

చూసిన వెంటనే ఒక విషయం గుర్తొచ్చింది.

దాదాపు 20 సంవత్సరాల క్రితం,
పొట్టి శ్రీరాములు గారిని ప్రత్యక్షంగా చూసిన ఒక వ్యక్తి
మద్రాసు నుంచి మా సూర్య శిల్పశాలకు వచ్చారు.

ఆయన తెచ్చిన చిన్న P.O.P బస్ట్ విగ్రహం
పొట్టి శ్రీరాములు గారిని దగ్గరగా చూసిన
ఒక తమిళ శిల్పకారుడు తయారు చేసినది.

“ఇదే నమూనాతో రెండు కాంస్య విగ్రహాలు చేయండి” అని కోరారు.
మేము తయారు చేసి ఇచ్చాము.

వెళ్తూ ఆయన కన్నీళ్లతో ఒక్క మాట చెప్పారు:

“పొట్టి శ్రీరాములు గారు
గూడకట్టు పంచతో, సాదాసీదాగా జీవించారు.
కానీ విగ్రహాల్లో ఆయనను
విలాసంగా చూపిస్తున్నారు.
ఇది ఆయన జీవన విధానాన్ని చంపేసినట్టే.”

ఆ మాటలు ఇప్పటికీ నా మనసులో ఉన్నాయి.

ఇప్పుడు అమరావతిలో
భారీ విగ్రహం ప్రతిష్టించబోతున్నారని తెలిసినప్పుడు,
ఆ పాత సంఘటన మళ్లీ గుర్తొచ్చింది.

అమరజీవి పొట్టి శ్రీరాములు గారు
ఒక్కరి సొత్తు కాదు.
ఆయన అందరివాడు.

ఇక్కడ కనిపించాల్సింది
ఆయన రూపం కాదు.
ఆయన జీవన విధానం.
ఆయన చేసిన త్యాగం.

Designed in traditional style with a 6-panel Mandapam,
featuring Shivaji Maharaj seated on a royal throne,
symbolizing strength, justice, and Swarajya.

Transforming discarded metal into a powerful tribute
to India’s greatest warrior king.

సాంప్రదాయ 6 ప్యానెల్ మండపంలో,
రాజసింహాసనంపై ఆసీనుడైన శివాజీ మహారాజ్ —
శక్తి, న్యాయం, స్వరాజ్యానికి చిరస్థాయీ ప్రతీక.

6 నెలల పాటు,
20 మంది నైపుణ్యంతో కూడిన శిల్పకారుల బృందం
రీసైకిల్‌కు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్న ఇనుమును చరిత్రగా మలిచిన అపూర్వ కృతి.

Honouring Kempe Gowda: A Legacy in Bronze

Today, we honour the birth anniversary of Kempe Gowda, the visionary founder of Bengaluru, through the timeless medium of sculpture. At Surya Silpasala/Katuri Sculptures, we have crafted statues that celebrate his enduring legacy, now standing proudly in various parts of his beloved city.

In Chikkajala, Tumkur, and Yelahanka, a majestic 7.6-foot and 10-foot bronze statue of Kempe Gowda stands tall, sword and shield in hand, symbolising his strength and courage. These statues capture the essence of the ruler who dreamt of a city that would become the bustling metropolis we know today.

In Krishnarajapuram, Yelahanka, and Kannur, you can witness Kempe Gowda riding a horse, sword raised, in impressive 10-foot bronze statues. These sculptures are a testament to his dynamic leadership and unyielding spirit, encapsulating his journey and reminding us of the strides he made in shaping the region’s history and culture.
