Qazi Ahmad Tauqeer, popularly known as Qazi Touqeer, made a major reality television comeback by entering the Bigg Boss 20 house, marking his return to the spotlight nearly two decades after his initial TV fame. He first gained national stardom in 2005 when he won Sony TV’s pioneering musical talent show Fame Gurukul alongside Ruprekha Banerjee. Hailing from Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, Qazi captured the country’s attention with his energetic stage presence, distinct style, and massive public support, notably outlasting fellow contestant Arijit Singh during the competition.
Following his victory, he released the successful album Yeh Pal and later appeared in the music video for the popular 2015 Bollywood track “Afghan Jalebi” from the film Phantom. His entry into Bigg Boss 20 hosted by Salman Khan brings an outspoken, expressive, and nostalgic dynamic to the show, shifting his focus from musical performances to navigating personality-driven gameplay and house relationships.
