Our athletes just won India's first-ever Squash World Cup, yet this achievement will barely trend, barely get headlines, barely get the respect it deserves.

We make heroes out of foreign stars, fill stadiums for overseas teams, and celebrate imported glory while our own world champions fight for attention.

This isn't a talent problem.

This is a mindset problem.

Until we learn to celebrate Indian athletes beyond one or two popular sports, real sporting growth will always remain a promise, not reality.

Respect the tricolour on every court, every field, every sport.
