Tribute to Moulana Mohd Abass Ansari Sahab — Founder of Madina Public Schools, Kashmir

A man of vision, faith, and deep compassion, Moulana Mohd Abass Ansari Sahab devoted his life to bringing quality education within the reach of every child — especially those from middle-class and humble backgrounds.

Through his tireless efforts, Madina Public Schools became a home of learning for all, providing free uniforms, books, and education to needy students and orphans. He always ensured that education at his school was in accordance with Islamic values — never against the teachings of our faith, but rooted firmly in its principles of knowledge, discipline, and respect.

He believed that education is not only about books but also about confidence. That is why he encouraged students to speak on stage, express themselves freely, and overcome fear, creating an environment where every child — regardless of sect or background — could grow together as one family.

Today, the legacy of his vision continues. Students of Madina Public Schools are now serving in different walks of life — as doctors, writers, teachers, artists, and professionals — carrying forward the light of learning he kindled years ago.

As one of the former students of this great institution, I feel truly grateful to Moulana Mohd Abass Ansari Sahab and to all the teachers and staff members of that time for their endless support, kindness, and the values they planted in us.

Their efforts shaped our futures — and their guidance will always remain alive in our hearts.
