Noor Mohammad, A Kashmiri folk singer from Handwara learned music through radio. In his childhood, Radio was the only way for him to learn, there was no Internet and Youtube back in 1960s.


Nott is a solid instrument made of clay, lacquer, and metal. Used in religious ceremonies, this instrument is found in Kashmir. Majorly used for rhythmic accompaniment along with Rabab and Saitar in Sufiana Qalam and other devotional and traditional musical forms of Kashmir.

This video is priceless


This is storytelling through monologues and dialogues. This is the trend I’ve created and is the one among many who truly understood what this is all about. It’s about asking questions from people about their life. Questions about their past and future, their emotions and feelings, their failures and achievements. This is what I’ve inspired people to do. This is my trend.

“Thoi chuw zah love gomuth” trend was created by random kashmiri reelers for views and followers. Not me. Asking someone about their love life is just one small part of my content which just gets more hype than everything else but it’s not my trend. It’s theirs.


I am thankful to for recording this video and sending it to me. I am proud of him. He has earned my respect.


I will see if people will share this reel or not, because if they don’t, then there is really something wrong with them.

He started busking back in 2018 while in college, most of his days would start and end with singing on roads of Delhi...
He said That's where I got inspired to take my music a step ahead. Having spent around three playing live around NCR etc as a part of a Band . This kind of gathering which is pure and magical where random people would vibe and listen to you on middle of the road is an experience that can only be felt and not explained.

After a long time we went out in the night to have tea and chill, we randomly came across some guys who were carrying guitar and I asked them to play me a song which they did and then they asked me to sing and I started by singing a kashmiri song and this is a part of that impromptu performance...





I was asked by a few friends to share this as a reel so here you go meanwhile I am working on producing this track properly

Sadiya Nisar Shah one of the youngest author of kashmir Valley, hailing from district Srinagar. She wrote her debut novel at the age of 16 “ The butterfly of paradise“ which is based on stream of consciousness and Second one at the age of 17 “ The Caged Globe” which is based on covid-19.

🎖Sadiya is a National awardee in film making. She has more than 25 certificates in different co curricular activities containing merit certificates achieved in Elocutions , theatre, language festivals etc. Sadiya is a house captain of her school. Moreover she is working with counselling group of school spreading awareness about rising issues in the society like substance abuse etc.

We Spent just Rs20 ,000 on Our Marriage.. This is me, Saadia, with my husband. We married last year in May ... I wore a simple blue kurti and dupatta for the wedding. No jewelry, heavy makeup, costly bride dress or music/ dance at the event. Participants at our wedding were just our parents and few near relatives .. Another interesting fact about our wedding was that my husband was the only son of his parents, but still, his parents supported our choice of simplicity. The purpose of sharing this story was to give people a message that marriages can be simple, cheap and tension-free...No one is going to remember a single thing about your fancy n expensive 3-5 days event leaving your parents in debt ... No one else..but you yourself have to take the initiative.♥️
