Artisan has always faced the atrocity from Handicraft expoters and then by lack of education and technology by dint of which Kashmir Handicraft life by selling all handicraft overseas.
This Platform has been Initiated by the most prominent and veteran artist of Kashmir who has been facilitated in various competitions along with stare award from Govt. of India where he secured Rank 1 in the state for his papier machie art. Mr, Nazir is of the experience and perception owing person with highly intellectual mindset he has initiated "Nazir Art Gallery:" for the people belonging to artisan community due to lack of exposure and income the artisan has left the handicraft line and now this heritage is at verge of death.
Nazir Ahmad being the chairman of " Federation of Artisans of Kashmir" has struggled a lot for this community but he has pledged that he will bring handicraft on the heights as it was before insurgency and artisans are able to carry there life's and their families. So hunger and poverty win and artisan start withdrawing hands from this craft and opted different jobs and services to carry there livelihood. slowly and steadily this most famous handicraft in the world which has now few artisans left to preserve this heritage and encouraged coming generation to opt this field with education and skill which will help us to produce more entrepreneur which will result increase in employment and economy.
This platform is for those verified artisans who will be approved by the Govt and skill test for some cases which is observed fishy.
Mr. Nazir has took this initative that every artisan who is deserving should get the platform despite of any situation from Kashmir he can sell his article to people sitting in United States of America.
