Volunteering means to contribute freely without being asked. At I-CELCI, we see volunteering as an opportunity to engage actively in a community while contributing to niche projects that work towards making the community, society, and the world a better place.
The word we like to use to express community development goals is VOLUNESIA, a Filipino term that means “a moment when you forget that you’re volunteering to help change lives because it’s changing yours.” At I-CELCI, we don’t just want you to volunteer to gain service hours, we value the importance of balancing one’s personal initiatives with the needs of the community in order to provide a learning platform based on adaptability, hard-work, and cross-culture collaboration.
