The story unfolds in a small town in the Rust Belt of the United States, swallowed up by industrial ruins. Factories have closed down, drugs are rampant, and the police force is corrupt. It's not the law but the mafia, financial groups and underground deals that truly rule the streets. Jax was originally just a lowly worker who barely made ends meet by towing and repairing cars. He was quiet, patient and honest, like an old screw pressed into a crevice of iron sheet, no one would give him a second look. Until one day, the mafia suddenly forced a six-year-old girl named Aiden into his life. This seemingly quiet and cute child was hiding a secret piece of evidence that could topple the entire power structure of the town. Aiden's parents were killed in a so-called accident that was actually a cover-up, and she became the "living evidence" that all forces were vying for. Local mafia wanted to control her, corrupt police wanted to eliminate her, and the FBI wanted to use her. But Aiden herself just wanted revenge. To survive, Jax was forced to step into the underground world. From repairing cars and transporting goods for the mafia to disposing of corpses and laundering money, and then gradually taking over territory, he rapidly darkened in the midst of violence and betrayal, and gradually grew into the most dangerous new king in the entire Rust Belt town. But in this bloody power game, the only one who always stood by his side was that seemingly harmless child. However, Aiden never truly belonged to anyone. She used Jax to fight against the mafia, used detective Cole to expose the corrupt system, and used federal agent Torres to destroy the enemy's power.
