Since its inception in 1966, Majlish not only nurtures the local talents and provides them platform to gain confidence to perform as a bigger stage in their future journey but also inculcates the dying arts of Bengal and thus giving them the much needed boost and encouragement to preserve the cultural heritage. Majlish in its endeavour tries to contribute constructively in the field of art & culture of Bengal which influences other groups to carry forward cultural activities of respective parts of the country.
