😨Bhangarh Fort, located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, is one of the most infamous haunted sites in India. Nestled at the edge of the Sariska Tiger Reserve, this 17th-century fort has a rich history of beauty and tragedy.

Bhangarh was established by Bhagwant Das, a ruler from the Amber kingdom, for his son Madho Singh I. Known for its stunning architecture, the fort has ancient temples, palaces, and sprawling gates that reflect the Mughal influence on Rajput designs. Yet, it's the tales surrounding Bhangarh's decline that have made it a site of spooky interest.
One prominent legend speaks of a powerful wizard, Singhia, who fell in love with Princess Ratnavati, a beautiful princess of Bhangarh. The wizard, obsessed with her beauty, tried to use black magic to win her affection. He enchanted the oil she was purchasing to make her fall for him, but the princess saw through the spell and threw the oil away, causing it to turn into a boulder that crushed the wizard. Before dying, he cursed the fort, condemning its people to die untimely deaths and for Bhangarh to remain uninhabited forever. Shortly after his curse, a battle ensued where most of the fort's residents were killed, leaving Bhangarh abandoned.

Due to this curse, locals believe that the fort is haunted, especially at night. Many visitors and locals have reported eerie experiences, such as strange sounds, whispers, and apparitions within the fort's ruins. Some say they feel an invisible presence following them, while others claim to hear laughter and music as if an unseen crowd is celebrating.
The reputation of the fort is so intense that the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has placed signs around Bhangarh warning against entry after sunset, and locals tend to avoid the area during the night.
