The wait was of 2 hrs to witness this but in the end it all paid off. The moment we saw the tigress sleeping in the bushes our aim was to get just one glimpse of her. She stirred few times and we were thrilled. Our driver noticed a chital grazing a few meters away from the tigress. She was so beautifully hidden in the bushes that even the monkeys on the top of the trees didn’t notice her.
Minutes passed into an hour and chital grazing back and forth made us hopeful that tigress might notice her. Eventually it did.
With lot of patience she waited for chital to cross and had absolute precision to lock her target. With immense speed she ran and pounced leading to the end of the life for that chital.
First trip to Jim Corbett was so worth!
