Classical Indian Odissi dance is an intricately ornate dance form, rich with layers of symbolism, metaphor and poetic suggestion.

This 5 day intensive training will empower dancers with knowledge and experience in unique aspects of Odissi Dance such as dancing on unique classical rhythms and graceful Natya Shastra movements rarely discussed in Odissi.

New students of Odissi will experience the powerful energetics of alignment in sculpturesque posture or bhangi, explore archetypes and storytelling phrases, develop coordination skills that develop body awareness such as training practices in hand Mudra and Eye movements. All the students worked together to decorate and create a sweet environment to host a concert with master Langa musicians of Rajasthan. Last night was a dream of the most joyful and hypnotizing ragas! This is what is all about… celebrating culture and rich indigenous arts of India in all their glory!🎉
