Juda Ka Talab is an alpine lake that lies en route to the majestic Kedarkantha peak. During the winter season, one can find this lake completely frozen providing one with the opportunity to experience the whole setting in a very different manner. Other than the majestic Kedarkantha peak and the magical Juda Ka Talab one will find this location verdant green with the backdrop of the towering Himalayas and an environment that is highly biodiverse with many different species of birds, animals, and plants. The white-throated kingfisher also known as the white-breasted kingfisher is a tree kingfisher, widely distributed in Asia from the Sinai east through the Indian subcontinent to China and Indonesia. This kingfisher is a resident over much of its range, although some populations may make short distance movements. It can often be found well away from water where it feeds on a wide range of prey that includes small reptiles, amphibians, crabs, small rodents and even birds.

Red Crested Pochard :

A diving duck of larger lakes and reservoirs, especially with fringing reeds. Male striking and unmistakable with large, rounded, rusty-orange head, long red bill, and black breast. Female rather drab but distinctive: dirty buff overall with pale cheeks, dark face, and rounded brown cap.

The grey-headed swamphen is a species of swamphen occurring from the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent to southern China and northern Thailand. It used to be considered a subspecies of the purple swamphen, but was elevated to full species status in 2015; today the purple swamphen is considered a superspecies and each of its six subspecies groups are designated full species.
