But aquariums are slowly and surely finding a foothold. That's where we, "Aqua Themes" come in. We make aquariums with a theme!

Aquariums these days have become an important part of any place, both commercial and residential, and used as a focal point in a room or a decorative piece in a corridor. When we buy an aquarium, we would like it follow a certain theme, a certain flow and a certain design language that would be acceptable to both, the most hardcore hobbyist and a person who is barely interested in tanks. Most of o

ur aquariums, as visible from the pictures, use ONLY natural elements like stones sand and wood. You can be rest assured you won't be getting one of those garish loud and aquariums filled with plastic toys when u come to us! We setup tanks following driftwood themes, stones and even mixing both up with live plants! Being a hobbyist myself, I would always first look at the comfort of the fish while setting up a tank. Afterall a fish tank is meant to have healthy, full-of-life, colorful fish. From selecting an appropriate size aquarium or selecting the right fish for an existing tank to providing a balanced nutrition in both package as well as frozen foods, everything is taken care of so your pet remains strong, healthy and vibrant. Apart from doing setups, we also provide maintenance services to our clients on weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis. We also provide a short term maintenance contract, where we teach you to maintain your own tank, under the watchful eye of our trained staff, so you can do your own tank and get involved more yourself in this wonderful hobby. So when an existing client wants an aquarium and his better half wants a waterfall. Well we are called in to make peace and combine the two 🙂
A pond style aquarium with a working waterfall , with some lovely Rosetail goldfish. Some plants at the water surface and a peaceful buddha statue to complete the look ❤

When months of planning and plotting along with the client, gathering material and livestock from all over the country planning every small detail and executing it to perfection.

When months (more like well over a year) of hard work, plotting and planning, co ordination with the architect and client comes together. Gathering material and equipment from all over the country, quarantine of a large number of fish and plants. And when it's done its a bitter sweet feeling that this tanks setup journey has come to an end.....and a new one for another client will start soon 😀

Stay tuned for the final reveal pics of this aquarium. I promise you it's well worth it.

It's usually nerve wracking whenever an architect asks us to design a tank for them. They have not so normal tank placements and sizes , multiple challenges and generally push us to our limit. Thankfully this time it was no different as we love to accept a challenge 😉
The tank was 6 feet up in the air, on a thin ledge and had to be eye catching enough as it was seen from almost everywhere in the house (as u will see from our long shots). The tank was 4 feet long but only 9 inches wide, still had to be scaped properly. Choosing the right decor, plants to survive in the low light, and the right fish were the other points we had to keep in mind. Thankfully we managed to get it all together and the results are for all to see :)

Our African peacock tank at home was very popular and we decided to give it an upgrade. A lot of fish had outgrown the older aquarium and it was time to move them to something new. While we were at it we wanted to change the hardscape too, and we opted for these lovely layered rocks that have a lot of texture and character to them.
