✨The countdown has begun!✨
With just ten days to go before our performance, we would like to acknowledge our stellar accompanying artistes.
As always, on the nattuvangam, we have Guru Mythili Raghavan. Founder and director of the Academy of Indian Dances, she is more than a teacher to all her students. She is the powerhouse that makes each performance what it is!
Additionally, Sriranjani Raghavan and Varsha Seshan will be accompanying the troupe on the nattuvangam for some sections of the programme.
Our vocalist, Sri Sivaprasad NN, is a versatile performer with an award-winning career spanning four decades. He has performed extensively in India and abroad, both as a soloist and as an accompanying artist for dancers of Bharatanatyam, Kucchipudi, Kathakali, and Mohiniyattam.
On the mridangam, we will be accompanied by Sri Mumbai Shankaranarayanan, who has been bestowed with many titles - Tal Mani from Sur Singar Samsad, Tal Ratna, Soundarya Sangeet Sitara, Mrudanga Ratna by Rasika Ranjani Sabha, etc. Disciple of karaikudi Shri Chandramouli, he has won many awards and scholarships.
Our violinist, Sow Mangala Vaidyanathan, has been awarded the title of Shanmukha Sangeetamani. A graded artist of the All India Radio, she has travelled all over India and abroad for concerts, accompanying leading artists of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattam.
We know that they will weave magic on the evening of 27 April, and we are deeply grateful for their presence and constant support!
