Way back in 1969, to the carnatic music loving populace of pune, this setting up of Poona Sangeetha Sabha came as a great boon. Here was a common platform for those art lovers who were distributed in pockets of Pune. It is common knowledge, music and dance are mandatory part of growing up. For those people who missed this culture of music, dance and drama, this sabha came as a welcome solution. W

ith the pioneering efforts and active participation of a few dedicated souls, the sabha, the only one of its kind in this city, came into existence in 1969. The aims of the sabha are to offer to the art lovers of Pune regular programmes of classical music, dance and drama and to develope the artistic talents latent in the younger generation to lead a fuller life.
