We are an informal collective whose objective is the enjoyment (and spread !) of jazz and blues in the city of Pune. Although both blues and jazz are uniquely American art forms, they have over the years found universal appeal and are popular worldwide. Pune’s strong cultural base makes it the ideal city for absorbing creativity from around the world. We were getting together once a month on the f
irst Sunday at 11 am, at Gyan Adaab, Kalyaninagar, to share different aspects of jazz music and meet like minded folk.The sessions were free, participative and interactive, sometimes with a live band, but always a presentation with a mix of recorded, old and new, audio and video for the young and old. We are now in the process of reviving it at Shisha Cafe at their spanking new venue at the MIlls Compound with sessions to be held last Sunday of each month beginning soon !
