About the facilitator:
Janhavii is an Expressive Movement Therapist and a Contemporary dance practitioner. She has been teaching contemporary dance and facilitating therapeutic dance sessions since last 10 years. She has had an experience of working with choreographers across the globe. Her work mainly revolves around the idea of reclaiming the agency of body through movement and other forms of arts. - Body conditioning, strengthening and flexibility
- Floor work and standing work in Release method
- Improvisation (basics)
- Choreography (basics/ approximately 2 songs)
- Brief theory and history of contemporary dance.

These classes are open for anyone above the age of 12years.

It's June and it's already raining blessings as a window of opportunity was opened up for us to speak about the role of arts and the therapuetic value of dance in social change in context to India and the Indian culture. As a part of the presentation East meets West by our teacher Dr. Danielle Fraenkel ( )at the Arts + Change Virtual conference, and I got a chance to share our views, thoughts and experiences about patriarchy, social norms, gender roles and the transformative value of arts.

Performed at s World dance day celebration this year.
'Frames' is a dance theatre piece which speaks about the battle that goes within between our true self and the self that we present in the society. Through this piece we want to question about being judged, to be vulnerable and the need to fake ourselves to fit into someone else's eyes.
