Jakkini Daru - This composition is one of the gems, we received from our Guru Dr. Sucheta Chapekar, while doing MA in Bharatnatyam.

It was apt to perform it today, on Mahashivratri celebration at Srujanakriti Institute of Arts

Shiva is worshiped as the Supreme God.

On occasion of Mahashivratri we present Shiv Panchakshar stotra written by Indian philosopher Adi Shankaraachaarya.

"Shiva Who has king of Snakes as Garland
Has Three Eyes in his face
Whose Body is Smeared with Sacred Ashes Who is The supreme God
Who is Eternal
Who is ever Pure
Who has the Four Directions as His Clothes

My Salutations to that Shiva,
Who is represented by syllable Na, the first syllable of holy Panchakshara mantra"
