“1001 Frames” was awarded the Jury Special Mention at the Nara International Film Festival.
🥂

We are grateful for this honor and for the opportunity to share our film with audiences so far from where it was made.
🙌

Thank you to the festival and to the jury—Olga Kurylenko, Heidi Zwicker, and Laura Wandel—for this recognition.

We were also happy to be part of a selection where women filmmakers were the majority—not by design, but simply because the films came first. Maybe one day this won’t be remarkable enough to mention.
✌️

This recognition belongs to our wonderful cast and crew, who made the film possible.
🙏❤️🙏

We feel very lucky to have our Japan premiere at the Nara International Film Festival, founded by filmmaker Naomi Kawase. Nara is truly magical, and the festival team has been incredibly generous and supportive. And the audience here has been exactly what you might hope for—warm, thoughtful, attentive, and wonderfully gracious.
