It came into being on 21st December 1981. PRANGAN is a reverberating centre of creativity endowed with tremendous life force which it treasures for its endless achievements stored in the time a head. To its credit there are nearly a hundred and fifty stage presentations heart fully acclaimed by drama buffs and art critics as well. gst its long and wide repertoire of art activities. It has covered a large number of placed spread in the India states. On invitations from the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Dept. of India, North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Allahabad, Eastern Zone Cultural Centre, Bioscope, Postal Department, Road Engineer Sangh, Central Bank of India, Food Corporation of India, Tourism Department, Telecom Department and many other cultural organization. PRANGAN’S Folk drama troupe and dance troupe have staged its programmed in the states of Delhi, U.P., M.P., Himachal Pradesh, Orissa, Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Andaman-Nicobar, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Jaipur, Udaipur, Goa and in many other places, Where prizes, trophies, shields and awards poured on its artists and performers. Beside it our folk artists also performed cultural programmers in the Ocean Festival at Mauritius in 1987 in 14th International Youth Festival held at Havana (Cuba) in 1997 and on the occasion of 160th anniversary of Indian Arrival of Trinidad and Tobago (West Indies) in 2005 and International theatre festival Dhaka (Bangladesh) in 2013. But the most outstanding contribution that features every year without interruption is the PATLIPUTRA NATYA MAHOTSAV in which it organizes. All India Multilingual Drama and Folk Dance Festival / Competitions and throws open invitation to all drama organizations of India to join a largely watched, witnessed and critically appraised competitions. It is always a feast for eyes when artists gather for interaction and emulations at Patna. Actually, that takes the proportion a jamboree. They all perform on one stage only.
