Daylight murder on the streets of Katihar.
Advocate Guddu Ansari was allegedly shot dead in broad daylight near Patel Chowk, Kumhar Toli, under Nagar Police Station. This is not some deserted or isolated area — it is a busy locality with roads leading towards the main market.
What is happening? What kind of time are we living in?
People are simply going about their daily lives when criminals arrive, shoot someone in full public view, and walk away without fear.
Where is the fear of the law? Where is the fear of the police, punishment and the government?
Whether it is a village, town or city, if people cannot even feel safe on the streets, then serious questions need to be asked about law and order.
**The authorities must answer. The police must investigate swiftly, identify and arrest those responsible, and ensure that justice is delivered. Accountability cannot stop at statements — those responsible for this failure of public safety must be held accountable.**
People deserve to live without fear in their own city.
