Closing our August Sofar was Asher 🏳️‍🌈 , bringing an intimate live set of “Recklessness, Rehabilitation, and Redemption” to the room, alongside Thorne Pereira on electric guitar and Bento on bass.

Together, Asher, Thorne & Bento are Hous — an indie/alternative collective that doesn’t seem particularly interested in staying inside any genre box.

Raw, unfiltered and unapologetically personal, Asher’s music moves through q***r intimacy, identity, freedom and resilience, weaving vulnerability and rebellion into a sound that refuses to stay in one genre.

There was something beautifully restless about the set — originals, unexpected covers and a delicious cluster of indie, alternative and everything in between.

The kind of performance that doesn’t just ask you to listen, but invites you into a world that feels honest, intimate and entirely its own.

And as our final act of the night, Asher, Thorne & Bento gave August the ending it deserved. 🖤

Some artists bring the music. Bryan "The Man" Ernest brings the whole vibe.✨

A singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and traveller at heart, Bryan has spent the last decade turning everyday stories into songs that make people dance, stomp and sing along. From playing across 30+ cities to being picked among Nexa Music’s Top 24, he’s built a sound that’s as infectious as it is heartfelt.

And Bryan is no stranger to Sofar. ❤️
After joining us for our 5th Anniversary gig, our Sofar alumnus was back for August — and boy, did he bring the groove!

His set had the room moving, singing along and completely caught up in the moment. The kind of set where you don’t just listen to the songs… you find yourself becoming part of them.

The Fabric of Music. A celebration of 50 shows, countless lessons, and the magic of music. 🧵🎶

Our 50th Sofar Sounds Goa show deserved a theme that spoke to the very heart of what Sofar is about. And what better than music as a teacher? ❤️

Inspired by the Sanskrit word Sutra, meaning a thread or string, Sush W artwork beautifully weaves together the threads of music, learning, practice, and discipline. The hand pulling music from the fabric represents the knowledge, emotions, and life lessons we continue to draw from every musical experience.

A fitting theme for our 50th gig, and a visual that truly did justice to the spirit of Sofar. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to Sushma for bringing this thoughtful concept to life and giving our celebration such a meaningful visual identity. 🫶

And to our incredible artists Anukriti Singh Sharlaine Menezes and Rocket Raja our wonderful guests, and the entire Sofar Goa community, thank you for being part of this milestone and continuing to make every show so special.

September took us to a picturesque little corner of Salvador Do Mundo where green fields and an endless sky seemed to play with each other as we began the evening. 🌿☁️🎶

Our home for the night was Sensible.Earth — a collectively driven organisation nurturing ideas and action towards a planet where human activity isn’t just resource neutral, but resource positive. And what a beautiful setting it was to gather, listen and celebrate live music.

As the evening unfolded, our incredible artists Anukriti Singh Sharlaine Menezes Rocket Raja brought their own sound, stories and energy to the room, while our lovely audience gave them all the love they deserved. There were voices joining in, feet keeping time and plenty of smiles all around. ❤️

And then there was SIA Cafe making sure the music had some serious competition! 😋 Their dhabeli, vada pav and delicious munchies fuelled both our bodies and souls.

A big cheers to our drink partners Simba Sober & Co. ™️ and Terry Sent Me! for keeping everyone refreshed and grooving through the evening. 🍻

But we have to talk about the newest addition to the Sofar bar — the Terry Sent Me Afterglow Edition. 💚 Distinctly green. Fresh with cucumber and honeydew melon. 🥒🍈
We tasted it, we loved it, and judging by how quickly everyone got into the groove, so did the crowd! Definitely a crowd favourite and one Afterglow we’re happy to remember. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to Sanjiv Khandelwal and the entire Sensible Earth team for opening up this beautiful space and hosting us so warmly.

And to our amazing artists, volunteers and every one of you who showed up— thank you for bringing your energy, your curiosity and your love for music.

September was one for the books. A gig to remember, in a setting we won’t forget anytime soon. ❤️🎶

Some voices don’t just fill a room — they make you stop and listen. ❤️

Meet Kaly Aani Kalyaani— Himachal-born singer-songwriter, storyteller, and a voice that has travelled a rather beautiful road.

After a decade in the corporate world, Kalyaani took the leap into music in 2013, armed with songs, an acoustic guitar and a whole lot of courage. Since then, she’s gone on to release her debut album Noises In My Head, collaborate across genres, and find herself featured in Rolling Stone India and on the TEDx stage.

Her music carries a little bit of everything — bluesy grit, vulnerability, stories of life, loss, love and the questions that stay in our heads.

And then, she brought all of it to our Sofar room. ✨

Her set was intimate, honest and beautifully raw. That voice? We were hooked. And judging by the way our guests leaned in, listened closely and let the music take over — we weren’t the only ones.

Kaly Aani thank you for making our August Sofar a little more soulful. 🫶
