Swipe to see my physiology sketchbook. Physiology is something that never tires to amaze me. I really have fun learning about our body. I study, make notes and pictures and draw inspiration from here to make my art.

Title : Gratitude
Medium : Gouache painting on handmade paper
Year : 2022
Size : 12x 8 inch (each slightly variable)

With this series I want to acknowledge the nourishment my body and mind receives every single day. The act of making detailed paintings of the seemingly mundane, common ingredients of an Indian kitchen and the seasons’ bounty - fruits and vegetables, on paper cut-outs of my own traced hands, is a remainder to myself that so many people have worked so hard to grow the food I have on my plate, in my hands. Nothing can be taken for granted.
I realise we have a lot to be grateful for, and these works of mine are just a speck of the tribute that we ought to place at the feet of what we call mother nature, a grossly insufficient term to describe this unimaginably vast cosmos.
