ANNOUNCING THE ARTISTS:
A Brave New World: Khoj International Workshop, Goa 2017.

In 1997, twenty-two artists came together for the first Khoj workshop, on the outskirts of Delhi at a site in Modinagar. bringing together artists from various cultures and backgrounds to reside together and work intensively for two weeks on a common platform: exchanging ideas, encountering varied methods and approaches, and exploring alternative visual expression. Here is where Khoj began.

This year the participating artists include Zarouhie Abdalian (USA), Lu Yang (China), Francesco Fonassi (Italy), Danushka Marasinghe (Sri Lanka), Asli Cavusoglu (Istanbul), Sergiy Petlyuk (Ukraine), Rasel Chowdhury (Bangladesh), Farhana Marzia (Bangladesh) and Nazrin Mammadova (Nasa, Azerbaijan) along with Indian artists Shailesh Ramamurthy, Sonatina Mendes, Baptist Coelho, Sahil Ravindra Naik, Pranay Dutta, Katyayini Gargi, Parul Gupta, Minam Apang, Gagan Singh, Diptej Vernekar, Shilpa Mayenkar and Bhisaji Gadekar. Rosalyn D'mello is the Critic-in-residence.

The workshop is being hosted at the Old Pereira House generously made available by Orijit Sen and Gurpreet Sidhu; and has been supported by the Samdani Art Foundation, Rajeeb Samdani Nadia Samdani Exhibit 320, Piramal Art Foundation Parmesh Shahani Rasika Kajaria Diana Campbell Betancourt
