As the final day of my Kathak workshop in Sri Lanka came to a close, I was left with a full heart and memories I will cherish for a lifetime. Over these three days, I had the privilege of introducing Kathak to a group of Bharatanatyam dancers from the hills of Bandarawela young artists whose sincerity, discipline, and gentle spirit moved me deeply.

We concluded with a certificate ceremony to honour their dedication and the beautiful energy they brought into the space. But what truly touched me were the quiet, personal moments, students offering thoughtful gifts, a few asking for my autograph with shining eyes. Their warmth and affection were overwhelming in the most humbling way.

It’s rare to meet students who leave such a lasting impact, the kind who remind you why you chose this path. I leave with immense gratitude, carrying their love with me, and feeling inspired by the bridges dance continues to build across cultures and hearts.
