USG for FB removal

This 62 year old male presented with history of pain at right knee for 1 week, following injury with flying metallic object, suspected lodged foreign body

It was a metallic foreign body lodged in upper tibia as shown in the xray.

USG was used as a guide, with the help of ED physician exploration done and FB removed, under Local anesthesia.

Ultrasound guidance is highly effective for detecting and removing foreign bodies (FBs), particularly in soft tissues, as demonstrated in this case.
