What would you do with a ribbon that was tied on a gift box? Probably untie it and slip it into a bin!
This particular ribbon looked so pretty from the first time I saw it and also the colour is one of my faves.....I preserved it for some time and today as I was chit chatting with a friend over the phone, I tried to make a bow with the ribbon and stitch it onto a rubber band that a friend gave me.

Best from the waste!

I had some old leftover flowers from here and there.....used them as my room decoration for quite sometime. On Sunday, while I was cleaning my room, I came across these flowers, almost ready to be dumped in the bin. But on a second thought, I already had a circle made from an old hanger, why not a door wreath out of these? So tried a door wreath with the flowers from here and there and look, I guess it didn't turn out as shabby as I'd imagined! 😀

After coming back from my holiday in the hills, I gave a try to hand embroidery and to begin with, also the only pattern I had learnt so far, daisy stitch I tried and technically I guess it was supposed to be a lavender stem but it turned out different 😄😄
I anyway, wanted to post my first hand embroidery work even if it doesn't give a fine finishing touch.

And so it all began when I visited a friend in the hills last summer.
This friend of mine is rather a multi talented, multi tasking and a creative woman. Her home is filled with her handcrafted work and creativity. I was quite inspired by her works and so she taught me patiently how to hand embroider. And for a beginner, daisy stitch was quite fascinating and easy to learn. She drew some patterns for me so that I can practice and I have posted those pattern stitches where I practised to start with.
