Founded by Navtej Johar in 2000, Studio Abhyas is committed to teaching & practice of yoga & dance-theatre and to mobilize an urban design initiate.

The 'body' is the central focus of all the activities at Studio Abhyas: body as a medium and site of expression and communication through dance; body as a tool of self-awareness and mental clarity through yoga; and working towards making the 'body' the central point of reference in the planning and designing of our cities through the Power of Seeing Project. These diverse activities at Abhyas are all based upon and inspired by the philosophy of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, which apart from focusing upon the body/mind connection and integrity of intention/thought/action also necessarily suggests a mindul and responsible inter-connection with society and the environment.
