Reliance Jio gives up to 15% salary hike to top performers .

KOLKATA: Reliance Jio Infocomm, telecom arm of RELIANCE Industries, has handed out up to 15% salary hikes to its top performers in a bid to hold on to its best talent even as its countrywide 4G operations pick up steam.

Jio has increased salaries of the top performers among its junior and middle level managers by 15% while highfliers among its senior executives, in the level of DGM and above, have got a 10% raise, a person aware of the matter told ET.

"The hikes range is consistent in all key functions — networks/networks IT & support, sales and marketing, customer care, projects, regulatory, and HR," the person said. That means the number of top performers are uniformly distributed across all core functions

First Drive:2016 Audi Q7 .

Vivo launches X5 Max, world's slimmest phone, in India

The vivo X5 Max was launched in India on Monday, at an official event in New Delhi. Currently India's slimmest smartphone, measuring in at 4.75mm thick, the device boasts Hi-Fi sound technology, with the phone aimed at India's youth market.

A modded version of Android 4.4, it provides various smart wake features, like writing a 'W' on the sleep screen to open WhatsApp, air gesture controls, and also feautures a mini screen mode for one-handed use. And just because this phone is slim , doesn't mean the've left out the 3.5mm audio jack.

A 5.5 inch 1080p super AMOLED screen coupled with a 13MP F2.0 rear cam and a 5MP wide angle lens front .

The price. vivo has priced the X5 Max at Rs 32,890 .

Tech giant Apple has launched iPhone 5C 8GB version in India for Rs 37,500. The device will be available in the market over the next few days.

Apple iPhone 5C features 4 inch Retina display and has almost identical internals, including Apple's A6 chipset, an 8 megapixels rear camera with flash and a 1.2 megapixels front facing camera.

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 to be tougher this season .

With more trained contestants performing, the 7th season of celebrity dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' is expected to get more challenging.

The show will see 13 celebrity contestants-- Purab Kohli, Andy, Sukhwinder Singh, Karan Tacker, Sophie Chaudhary, Kritika Kamra, Mouni Roy, Sreesanth, Puja Bose, Palak (Kiku Sharda), Shakti Mohan, Akshat and Ashish Sharma-- vying for the trophy.

Bike enthusiasts will now feel adrenaline rush as BMW has brought to Indian shores the athletic S1000R. The new offering from BMW has been priced at Rs 22.83 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). BMW feels that S1000R will open to a good response and a strong potential to lure customers in future.
