A poor elephant was killed brutally, as humans i believe we positively contribute nothing to nature.

However, what could solve this problem and prevent this from happening again?

1. Support locals, if locals back you, then these killings will stop. Not a new idea, it has been done before. How it can be done? You are educated and intelligent hopefully. Read and research.

2. Most of the locals in these forest areas are tribals that has been absorbed into the system, they are very poor and prone to greed in promise of a better life. Can you help in anyway to make their lives better?

I'm from kerala and I'm a researcher. I study people for a living, so I know what I'm talking about. And I'm not just talking, I'm in for what initiative we take for this.

What might help?

1. Seeking alternative mediums to spread awareness, i saw beautiful work from artists, these hopefully will bring mindset set change in next generation. Till then more species will go extinct or get killed, Can we we channel this to local people, raise funds from these initiative to set up programs locally NOW?

What does not help this situation?

1. Shaming kerala, we all know literacy rate and education has got nothing to do with brutality and stupidity. Moreover, if we look everywhere, we have our share of brutality.
2. Seeking government help, to think government will help is foolish, everybody is involved and red tape will take ages and more animals will be killed. We will all have to be involved at local level.

It is easy for everyone to talk and do things at macro level, but if you are not doing micro level, know that you are just ranting and you'll be ranting the next trending topic soon.

The God protector of the forest - cernunnous.

I have been thinking about this sketch in my mind for a while and wanted to create how he would be. By the way, there are also similarities drawn between him and lord Shiva.

People have long lost their connection to the forest gods and the nature they protected.

I like to think of this as my offering to cernunnous as I see nature getting destroyed for bottomless greed of man and often too reckless for a bit of money.

This is acrylic and lead on paper, with traces of charcoal.

Hope you guys like it and go back to nature and appreciate it.

Start with not using plastic and disposing it wherever you see fit. It's just reckless.

While I wish I could, but I dont live in a forest or the ocean or someother natural thing that makes a living organism happy.

What I usually see is people who are either running after money or some corporate accolade or some other man made problem. Please dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with it, but that is just s**t inspiration for me.

So I see and I read things that more fortunate people have seen and written. And so that is me there reading an surfer's experience inside the tube. That inspires me and then I try to draw what I see in my mind.

She grew into something of a obelik I.e. she accidentally slipped into cauldron of magic potion at birth.

Her moves are no different from the mighty gauls resisting Romans in "Asterix and Obelix" and you'll have to meet her to know all about that.
