The soul of Suvarnarekha — Guru Rekha Tai Nadgauda — in her element. ✨

In this special presentation celebrating 50 glorious years of Kirti Kala Mandir, Rekha Tai performed alongside her daughter, Guru Aditi Panse Tai — a powerful rendition in Taal Teentaal, where decades of riyaaz unfolded through precision, grace, and authority.

The evening culminated in the soulful bhajan “Prabhu ko Niyam Badalte Dekha” — expressing that beautiful bhakti bhaav where the Divine bends His own rules for His most devoted bhakt.

From taal to transcendence… from technique to surrender…

Saaj Thumricha | Successfully Concluded ✨

An evening where Marathi poetry found its voice through Thumri, and music unfolded with elegance, emotion, and depth.
“Saaj Thumricha”, presented as a part of Suvarna Rekha, the year-long Golden Jubilee celebration of Kirti Kala Mandir, was a soulful tribute to language, melody, and tradition.

As Kirti Kala Mandir celebrates 50 years (23 Feb 2025 – 23 Feb 2026) of artistic journey, this presentation beautifully reflected the vision of Rekha tai to honour our roots while creating meaningful, refined experiences for today’s audiences.

Heartfelt gratitude to Shri Pramod Kale for the thoughtful concept and script, Dr. Chaitanya Kurte for music, harmonium accompaniment and narration, the evocative vocals of Smt. Meghna Khandkar and Shri Tejas Mestry, and the sensitive tabla accompaniment by Shri Kartikswami Dahiphale.

A new musical expression where Marathi poetry meets the soul of Hindustani classical forms such as Thumri, Dadra, Kajri, Chaiti, Hori and Jhula.

This thoughtfully curated presentation brings alive the lyrical beauty of Marathi through the delicate, emotive language of Thumri.

As part of its 50th glorious year, Kirti Kala Mandir celebrates Suvarna Rekha — a year-long artistic journey envisioned by Guru. Rekha tai Nadgauda, where on the 23rd of every month, from 23rd February 2025 to 23rd February 2026, dance becomes a living celebration of legacy, continuity, and inspiration.

We warmly invite you to the 10th offering of Suvarna Rekha, an evening honouring the timeless artistry of Vidushi Guru Shama Bhate tai.
Experience “Ramlalla”, a deeply moving choreography by the Guru herself, followed by the celebration of her 75th birthday and an intimate in-conversation with the maestro — a rare opportunity to listen, reflect, and be enriched.
