After the massive fire that broke out from small fires and engulfed the huge dumping ground on 21st of march recently, leading to utilisation (or wastage) of 2.5 lakh (approx.) litres of water to douse the fire completely, and the pollution which followed for a week raising breathing problems for residents of East Nagpur, it seems that things have not changed much.

Small fires continue to be a part of the sight, and it, unfortunately, doesn't ring a bell for those who should be responsible for it. New STP plant coming up at Bhandewadi seems to be a mockery of Bhandewadi's original capacity to deal with its already existing problems.

No wonder why we face such extreme heat waves recently!

"Burning of garbage and leaf litter has been banned under the ‘Municipal Solid Wastes (management and handling) Rules 2000 that came into effect in 2001.
Any violation is punishable under the Environment Protection Act, 1986 with an imprisonment of up to 5 years or a fine up to Rs. 1 lakh"

334 million people are suffering from asthma and approximately 2,50,000 die every year.
These should not be confused with medical deaths, but these are glaring examples of mass murder in broad daylight.

We urge the government bodies to take action against this menace on a war footing!

Yet another successful Power To Empower workshop on Online shopping and Net Banking was conducted in chapter 2 (2016), for the ladies of Wardhaman Nagar Society!
We were privileged to have the support of Mrs. Heena Ma'am, for encouraging us and giving a wonderful talk on Online shopping thus, making the online experience of the participants easier than before!

(Power to Empower is a workshop series on 'Net Banking' especially for women who are not so confident in making online transactions, and often depend on their children or husbands for doing so. Demonetisation has made it even more necessary to make more use of Net Banking and online modes of transactions not only for online purchases but for regular transactions also.)

When we started with Power 2 Empower last year, many of us had doubts, whether the need will ever arise for to be used for all , especially by . We were told that no one would take special interest in it, and only 10 people attending our first supplemented our initial thoughts.

However, our Founders were so firm and confident, their foresight encouraged us, to continue the of this project in different corners of the city for women, who somewhere lack the knowledge and confidence for making .

Today when we look at the current situation, we are proud to have started with this chain of projects, as we received calls, thanking UTH, from those who attended the workshop as it has made their lives easier.

Now as the time demands, we will be looking forward to organise some more workshops in the recent future!

Finally it was the concluding day!!
The last day saw a fabulous debate on 'The Indian Education System' followed by the concluding event and prizes were distributed to motivate our particpants!

Mrs. Yogita Jaiswal, JCI President, women's wing graced the event with her presence! Yogita ma'am is an inspiration for all the ladies and our young Change-makers!

Also, based on the scores given by the participants after every speech, Richa Saboo came turned out to be the Outstanding Speaker and Rakesh Ramrakhyani recieved the Outstanding growth award!

Others were provided with certificates and the notes of the entire session!!

The event became more memorable, when Abhishek Jhawar, Nagpur's very own singing sensation and our proud volunteer, left everyone mesmerised by his soothing voice!!

A change has begun! Leaders are born! The first steps for a Change have begun!

Hello Utopians!!

The idea of Utopia, which we all believe in, seems possible only when we, the youth, have a voice.

A voice that can establish peace!
A voice that can bring back harmony!
A voice which unites us!
A voice which can lead us!
A voice that can make Utopia possible!

We have begun empowering young minds, the leaders of tomorrow to become strong orators today to inspire the world tomorrow through our project Speech Craft.

We thank our mentor and guide Mr. Rajesh Pugalia for being the trainer at our first workshop and making it such a wonderful experience for the participants!
