Here’s a glimpse of what went behind the making of our Annual Dance Showcase!!!

A huge shoutout to the participants, sponsors and my team who helped me bring this idea to life for 3 consecutive years!

A successful project is not only about meticulous planning and hardwork but supportive stakeholders that put their faith in you talent every single day.
Seeing them happy and growing was the biggest joy of my job and I will forever be grateful for that.

I hope you enjoy this glimpse as much as we enjoyed the whole process and the product, our beautiful dance showcases.. until next time🙏🏽✌️💃🏻

August has been a milestone month for me, not just as a Choreographer but also as a human, for I took the biggest rollercoaster journey of my life, to the United Kingdom to teach choreography for a wedding. That's the beauty of art, it crosses borders so effortlessly.
They say you gotta keep your heart out of your business but I wonder maybe if I wasn't all heart, would I have gone to the UK to stay with an unknown family?

Hey if they weren't all instinct why would they fly a stranger all the way from India to teach them dance choreography?!( Maybe they did it because I'm not too bad at what I do but that's not relevant😉) This trip was so special to me in so many ways because these strangers taught me love in its most pure form.
The kind of love that is beyond religion, cast, color, language. ( Yes they were a fabulous Pakistani family who flew down and hosted an Indian) -No religion is not why they did it. -Yes it was my work that they liked. -No they didn't decide I wasn't their favourite because of where I was from
And mostly because we understood that we're the same people and if you observe closely we don't really look very different do we?!.. Look at the video can you tell who's who💀

We danced all day, all evening. We danced in their beautiful lawn area, we danced to all four weathers in a day ( Yes that's Glasgow , now I know better )

In other news I got covered by BBC and Awaz FM Glasgow which is kinda BIG news for me. I mean almost fainted but hey you couldn't tell that from the interview, I'm cool like that ⛷️ I came back learning that art is art and there is good everywhere and I'm sure there is bad too but I think to myself that maybe if I wasn't all heart and believer of kindness, good and kind people wouldn't have happened to me either. (You attract what you give) ✨

PS - The wedding dances look woaa Shafea & family are going to slay the stage in November ( Glasgow) & December ( Pakistan)

Special mention - This amazing, talented, beautiful girl who also happens to be the one who made the "I like your work. Will you fly down and teach us?" call to me 4 months ago, made this happen. I 💞 U

Today I crossed 5000 followers on Instagram and I cannot thank each one of you enough for loving and supporting what I create. I am because of you. But most importantly I want to thank all of my students and their parents who have loved and promoted me and my teaching unconditionally since when there was no Instragram.

It's been 10 years of teaching. I teach what my heart creates and mind corresponds to. Sharing a really close piece of my heart today. This concept act choreographed by me. Each word of this song means so much and I hope that the world someday realises the power of kind words because we're all beautiful just the way we are!
